Description

At last, it is finished! I'm sorry this took me so long.

This picture was inspired by ~karasuma08's picture of a fire princess. In my conception of the Empress of Andura I envisioned her more similar to the original inspriation but, as you can see, the product turned our much differently. I know some aspects are a little off *cough, proprtions, cough, lighting, cough*, but I am still proud of what it turned out to be.

Here is a vague outline of the Empress:

To make a very long back story short, the Imperial court of Andura located in its capital city. The Emperor had fallen ill and his sucessors consisted of his two twin daughters, Azuk-ara, the oldest, and Firada, the inferior of the two. From birth, Azuk-ara was trained to assume the position of Empress but in the final days before her ceremonies of succession, something went terribly wrong. Her closest friends noticed that something was not right, that she had not been acting true to herself. And in the dead of night, she vanished. It would destroy the reputation of the royal palace to allow the public to know what had happened; post poning the ceremonies would cost Andura much more than time, but also their sense of unity in this dawning age of war. If this passing of power did not have the strength to hold the empire together, the dynasty would collapse along with core all of Andura'e imperial court and its resisitance to the forces invading from the north. So in their state of chaos and despair, Azuk-ara's and Firada's mother comes up with a plan to save their lineage and family name. Instead of Azuk-ara who had vanished, they would tell the public that it was Firada, thus weaving together a conspiracy that would develop into the deepest cover up that the imperial court had ever known. Firada, now with all weight upon her shoulders, would become her sister in mind, body, and spirit, or else face the decay of the Empire itself. The real Azuk-ara was no where to be found and before long, the Imperial Court pronounced Firada deceased in the stead of her sister. Firada, the new Azuk-ara, could truly say that she attended her own funeral. The true Azuk-ara was to be married at the time of her coronation but in her disappearance, Firada and her sister's husband in waiting had to fool the public's eye in every way. At the age of eighteen, Firada learns to forget all who she once was and literally becomes her sister, the Empress Azuk-ara. As for the true Azuk-ara...her fate is not discovered many dark years.
